Accessible T4C Education Program for All
The T4C Education Program is a mental health education initiative aimed at enhancing the well-being of our youth. We provide young individuals with vital tools and knowledge to empower them to lead happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
T4C Education Program in K-12 Schools
Recognizing that mental health is relevant to everyone, it is essential that we all have the resources and information necessary to prioritize and maintain our well-being. The T4C Education Program is designed to assist young individuals in actively caring for their mental health and encourage those in their circles to do the same. By working with K-12 schools across the country, we have:
- Created workbooks packed with engaging activities, which have been sent to schools.
- Created the Mindfulness Toolkit for students from Pre-K through Grade 1.
- Provided guidance and assistance to students in establishing effective tools and strategies for effectively managing their mental health.
- Empowered young individuals to share their newfound knowledge with their peers within their schools.
- Encouraged open and honest conversations about well-being by both students and teachers.
- Supported school staff to manage their own well-being, learn more about mental health, and develop networks to share ideas and support with others.
We are currently working on two mental health-related books, one for students from K-5 and the other for Grade 6 to 12 students.
Why We Do This
A staggering statistic reveals that half of the children and teenagers in the United States with mental health issues do not receive the necessary treatment. Even without a diagnosed condition, young people encounter a wide range of obstacles, including friendship problems, family hardships, grief, or bullying.
These challenges can leave a lasting impact, particularly when our youth are not equipped with the knowledge and skills to maintain their mental well-being. Inadequate coping abilities during childhood and adolescence can translate into difficulties later in adulthood.
Early intervention plays a crucial role in addressing this issue. By teaching children positive coping mechanisms at a young age, they can build a robust toolkit for effectively navigating life’s challenges.
